Igloofest returns since COVID and this was my experience.

After two years without Igloofest in Montreal and Quebec City, due to the pandemic, finally this 2023 the Quebecoises can dance on the snow. I was there, and this is how it was it.

After a some beers with my friends we arrive at the old port and we find a huge line, but surprisingly it was moving really fast, that was one of the things that makes us think that everything was well organized. We wait at the line like 10 or 15 minutes and then we where inside the festival. As soon as you pass through the entrance you can see the huge main stage called SCÈNE SAPPORO, shining for its greatness, at our right there was some bars and food stalls, and a little further on there was the entrance to the SCÈNE VIDÉOTRON, a smaller but incredible stage with a huge wall mapped with stunning visuals.

As soon as we walked into the main stage we realize that the duo of french producers, KAS:ST, was playing a stunning progressive house, warming up the dancefloor, the way it should be done, for the main event, Camelphat, the english duo who close the night with they incredible skills on the decks and their amazing music.

Dancing in the snow was an amazing experience, and the vibe of all the people there was incredible, everything would have been perfect if it weren't for the fact that the festival ended too early, from the country where I come, which is Colombia, some festivals ends at 3am and even there's some who go through all the night till the next morning. So for me, personally, a festival ending at 11 is kind of boring. But for everything else it was an amazing experience and everything was really well made by the organization, I wish I could had a little more time to enjoy the music and explore the festival, but I totally love it and I recommend everyone to go.
